5 Day Outlook Discussion
A cool, rainy and unsettled week ahead as our overall weather pattern has shifted for the foreseeable future. Expect best chances for rain on Monday, Wednesday and especially Thursday. We are not anticipating any snow for the areas along the Palmer Divide just yet, but temperatures will be generally cool.
Many mountain areas saw their first cold snap of the year and with it their first measurable snowfall. This is not unusual as most mountain areas see their first snowfall around mid-late September. For us in and around Castle Rock; our first average date of snowfall is October 18 and the average first freeze is during early October.
Both of those time-frames are coming up pretty quick!
