Douglas County Rainfall Totals via CoCoRahs Observation Network

The general trend for Douglas County was a larger amount of rainfall South and East of Castle Rock. The further North and West you went from town, the less rain you got, not to say that most areas didn't see decent rainfall.

Our official measurement for the Meadows in Castle Rock was 1.21 inches of rainfall total.

Most areas in and around town ended up in the 1-1.5 inch range. Areas South and East of town ended up in the 2-3 inch range.

Elbert county also had some areas that received decent amounts of rainfall, especially in and around Franktown/Elizabeth/Kiowa areas.

High moisture to the East made it back Westward along the front range, giving storms plenty to work with where they formed.

Keep an eye out today, we have a 50%-60% chance for storms again this afternoon and evening. Due to the high moisture amounts in the air, storms could again produce heavy rain and localized flooding.
